This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs access to and use of CrypTap's website, hardware devices, APIs, merchant dashboards, blockchain interaction systems, smart contract infrastructure, software applications, payment-intent systems, operational wallet infrastructure, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of the CrypTap Terms of Service. By accessing or using CrypTap, users and merchants agree to comply with this Policy and all applicable laws and regulations. Violation of this Policy may result in suspension or termination of access, restriction of hardware or platform functionality, deactivation of merchant infrastructure, or reporting to applicable authorities where legally required.
1 Purpose of CrypTap
CrypTap provides non-custodial blockchain payment infrastructure designed to facilitate blockchain-based wallet-to-wallet payment interactions between users and merchants. CrypTap is intended solely for lawful commercial and consumer payment activity. CrypTap does not custody customer funds, custody merchant settlement balances, hold customer or merchant private keys, maintain pooled user accounts or omnibus accounts, operate escrow accounts, reverse blockchain transactions, or provide banking or money transmission services.
2 Device-Based Operational Wallet Infrastructure
Certain CrypTap hardware devices may contain locally generated and locally stored cryptographic keypairs used for operational blockchain interactions. Users and merchants acknowledge and agree that operational device private keys are generated locally on CrypTap hardware devices during setup, remain locally stored on merchant-controlled CrypTap hardware devices, do not leave the CrypTap hardware device, and CrypTap does not centrally store or custody operational device private keys. Merchants remain solely responsible for maintaining operational gas balances, securing merchant-controlled CrypTap devices, maintaining physical control over devices, and preventing unauthorized access or tampering.
3 General User Obligations
Users and merchants agree to use the Services lawfully and responsibly, comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws, provide accurate and truthful information where required, maintain appropriate wallet and device security, maintain operational gas balances where applicable, and avoid activities that may harm CrypTap, its users, merchants, partners, infrastructure, or third parties. Users remain solely responsible for wallet security, private key management, operational device-wallet security, transaction authorization, blockchain network selection, smart contract interaction review, and taxes and reporting obligations.
4 Prohibited Activities
Users may not use CrypTap for unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, fraudulent, or prohibited activity. Prohibited uses include but are not limited to the categories below.
A. Financial Crime & Illicit Finance
Users may not use CrypTap in connection with money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud or deceptive financial schemes, theft or stolen digital assets, market manipulation, unlawful gambling operations, bribery or corruption, tax evasion, ransomware payments, fraudulent fundraising schemes, or unlawful financial activity.
B. Illegal Goods & Services
Users may not use CrypTap to facilitate transactions involving illegal drugs or controlled substances, counterfeit goods, stolen property, unlawful weapons sales, human trafficking, child exploitation or abuse, illegal adult content, unlawful gambling services, prohibited financial products, or any goods or services prohibited under applicable law.
C. Sanctions & Restricted Activity
Users may not violate applicable sanctions laws, use CrypTap on behalf of sanctioned individuals or entities, access the Services from prohibited jurisdictions where restricted by law, or conceal sanctioned activity through intermediaries, mixers, obfuscation systems, or deceptive transaction structures.
D. Fraudulent or Deceptive Conduct
Users may not impersonate another person or entity, misrepresent identity, business ownership, or affiliation, provide false onboarding or merchant information, falsify transaction information, engage in phishing, scams, or social engineering attacks, or deceive merchants, customers, partners, or third parties.
E. Unauthorized Access & Security Violations
Users may not attempt unauthorized access to CrypTap systems or infrastructure, exploit vulnerabilities, bypass authentication or security protections, interfere with infrastructure functionality, conduct denial-of-service attacks, distribute malware, ransomware, or malicious code, manipulate payment flows or smart contract infrastructure, or attempt unauthorized extraction of operational device private keys.
F. Hardware, Firmware & Device Abuse
Users may not tamper with CrypTap hardware devices, modify firmware without authorization, alter operational blockchain infrastructure improperly, attempt unauthorized modification of payment-intent systems, manipulate device-generated operational wallets improperly, interfere with NFC or BLE communication systems, or use CrypTap hardware in unsupported or dangerous configurations.
G. Abuse of Platform Infrastructure
Users may not overload systems or infrastructure, abuse APIs or developer integrations, use bots or automated abuse systems, interfere with merchant operations, circumvent platform restrictions or safeguards, disrupt service availability or reliability, abuse blockchain interaction infrastructure, or intentionally deplete or manipulate operational gas systems maliciously.
H. Intellectual Property Violations
Users may not infringe copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets, reproduce CrypTap software or branding without authorization, distribute unauthorized modified versions of CrypTap systems, or reverse engineer CrypTap software, firmware, hardware, or smart contract systems except where permitted by law.
5 Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants using CrypTap agree to operate lawful businesses, comply with consumer protection laws, comply with tax and reporting obligations, maintain accurate merchant payout wallet information, maintain operational gas balances where applicable, secure merchant-controlled wallets and devices, maintain appropriate records where required, and avoid prohibited industries or unlawful activity. Merchants remain solely responsible for products and services sold, customer support, refunds and disputes, legal compliance, business licensing requirements, and operational blockchain costs associated with merchant-controlled infrastructure.
6 Blockchain, Smart Contract & Wallet Responsibility
Users acknowledge that blockchain transactions are generally irreversible, smart contracts may involve technical risks, wallet compatibility may vary, third-party wallet providers operate independently of CrypTap, and blockchain network availability and functionality are outside CrypTap's control. CrypTap is not responsible for wrong-network transfers, incorrect wallet addresses, wallet software failures, insufficient gas balances, failed smart contract execution, operational wallet compromise, private key loss, blockchain congestion, delayed confirmations, or unsupported wallet behavior.
7 Monitoring & Enforcement
CrypTap reserves the right to monitor platform activity for security and compliance purposes, investigate suspected violations, suspend or terminate access, restrict access to specific users, merchants, jurisdictions, or activities, deactivate compromised or abused infrastructure, and cooperate with lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement where legally required.
8 Reporting Violations
Suspected violations of this Policy may be reported to: compliance@cryptap.xyz
9 Modifications to This Policy
CrypTap may update this Policy periodically. Continued use of the Services following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
